PORTFOLIOS

The Travel Group has been running a postal portfolio for colour transparencies for several years now and has on average  ten to twelve members.
There are two or three rounds each year and apart from the postage required to send the portfolio on to the next member, there are no additional costs.

We are also now running a "digital circle" and invite any of our Group members who are interested to join us. This now uses an online blog and lets members upload their own images and comments.

The mutual interest and pleasure in photography plus the desire to share our experiences with others form the basis of our activities.

The Portfolios offer the following opportunities:

Contact with photographers having varied interests and experience.

Reviewing and commenting upon a variety of images from Group members.

Receiving the comments and criticisms, positive and negative , from Group members on your images.

Presentation of your images in Travel Log and on the Group website.

Reading and writing about travel and photographic topics.

A balance of opinion that is difficult to get from other sources.

Please contact the portfolio secretary here for further informatiuon .

Tom's comments - Just one of the many sad looking buildings in Havana. What will Cuba look like in a few years time now Mr Castro has stepped down.

Nikon D100, ISO 200 125 @f8 a little tweak in PS and Photomatrix HDR

Round D4 Winning Image - Corbiere Lighthouse by Tom Lloyd ARPS

Tom's comments - The day had been grey and dullhowever I decided to nip back to this area to watch the incoming tide. Luckily the sun broke through just before disappearing below the horizon. Finding a place to set up my tripod and still get away from the rising sea in the jumble of rocks was a little interesting.

Nikon D200, Nikkor 12-24mm 3.6 secs at f4
